🎬 From the Desk of Co-Founder Mohammad

💬 A Word from Ahmed – Co-founder of Hexonine
Hey Hexonine fam! It’s been an exciting ride this month, and I wanted to share some key highlights from behind the scenes.

Hexo Highlights: Employee Spotlight
This month, we’re thrilled to spotlight James (Jim) Peck, a Creative Writer & Narrative Designer whose path has taken some unexpected, but entirely awesome turns. From helping build the quirky legacy of Kerbal Space Program to now exploring deeper narrative and dialogue writing in Soulscape: Fragments of the Present, Jim’s finally getting to “let his creative side off the leash.”
What makes Hexonine feel like home? For Jim, it’s the vibe. “We’re a small but dedicated team with one goal make a cool game. It reminds me of my early days with Squad Games... and that energy is priceless.”
✨ Fun fact: Jim’s not just a wordsmith, he’s also a skilled cook and once worked in a bar tossing pizzas like a pro.
🎮 Most nostalgic game: Fallout 4, a love letter to all the retro sci-fi movies he grew up with.
🎵 Go-to song: Purple Rain, because yes, he saw Prince live before the world caught on, and it changed everything.
“I feel incredibly lucky to be part of a team that believes in storytelling, in details, and in making people feel something real. If anything I write inspires someone to try making games or just believe in their own creativity... well, that’s the dream.”
Thanks for sharing your story, Jim and for reminding us that heart, humor, and a little weirdness go a long way. 💜
Nostalgia Corner: Memory Card Loaded Steve’s Journey Through Game Worlds
When it comes to childhood gaming memories, Steve’s (beloved musician at Hexonine) heart beats to the tune of Sonic the Hedgehog 2, a fast-paced classic that never lost its charm. But one of his most unforgettable gaming moments came at Christmas with a surprise gift: Fallout 3. “I wasn’t sure I’d get it,” he shares, “but opening that package made my day.” 💚
Steve’s no stranger to a challenge either. He recalls the Lin Salvador boss fight in Control as one of the toughest he’s ever faced, spending nearly six hours and dying dozens of times before tasting victory. “Good times,” he laughs. 😅
As a game composer, Steve’s dream game would feature gear earned through achievement, not money. A system that rewards skill, not spending, now that’s a game worth grinding for. 🕹️✨
Here’s what our team is listening to while creating the magic!
